Aquaculture Europe 2022 - Innovative Solutions in a Changing World

How aquaculture is facing challenges from compatibility and mutual synergy between the users of marine, brackish and freshwater resources and their relationship with the quality of those ecosystems are central in promoting the sustainable development of the Blue economy and aquaculture, and the solutions put in place to develop a sustainable, responsible and productive and climate neutral European aquaculture sector for key marine and freshwater fish, shellfish and algal species are the main themes for AE2022 event in Rimini.

The AE2022 parallel sessions will cover the full scope of European aquaculture and will comprise submitted oral and ePoster presentations. AE2022 will also feature an international trade exhibition, industry forum, student sessions and activities, satellite workshops and updates on EU research.

The host is Veronique Blanquet and her group at ULIM. When registering at the form below, applicants should include a brief motivation letter to justify their participation highlighting their contribution and the connection to the FAANG community. It will be convenient to have some familiarity with the UNIX command-line to follow the bioinformatics part of the workshop. Twelve (12) participants will be selected by the organizing group to the onsite version of the course based on these letters. Participation to the first day (online) is not limited by number.

World Congress on Genetics Applied to Livestock Production (WCGALP)

This is the premier conference for researchers and professionals involved in genetic improvement of livestock. Delegates from around the world gather every four years to attend the scientific program and to network with colleagues. This builds on previous successful congresses in Madrid (Spain, 1974 and 1982), Lincoln (USA, 1986), Edinburgh (UK, 1990), Guelph (Canada, 1994), Armidale (Australia, 1998), Montpellier (France, 2002), Belo Horizonte (Brazil, 2006), Leipzig (Germany, 2010), Vancouver (Canada, 2014), Auckland (New Zealand, 2018), and Rotterdam (The Netherlands, 2022).

The 2026 WCGALP will be co-costed by Iowa State University, University of California-Davis and University of Wisconsin- Madison.
